Northgate Bridge
First crossing, still shoulder to shoulder. Old iron spans, a short 12 m ramp, and your first look down the whole river. Watch the expansion joints if it rained overnight.
42.195 km along the River Arden — out of the Old Wharf, across three bridges, home under the Saltmarket clock. Flat, fast, and loud the whole way.
Every crossing is a ramp, a view, and a decision. Learn the three bridges and the course has no surprises left.

Halfway lands mid-river. The half-marathon timing mat sits on the crown of the bridge, and so does the gantry camera. Even splits look best from up here.
Last crossing, usually into the wind. From here the river runs with you all the way to the line — 9 km of straight quay. Spend everything you saved.
Total gain 118 m. Three honest ramps — one per bridge — and nothing else. Droplets mark every aid-station table.
Entries close 22 March 2026 — or at 14,000 runners, whichever comes first. Pick a category; your bib updates in real time.
Open entry EUR 64 — chip-timed, Wave B, gun 8:12. Confirmation by email within the hour.
Nine pacing teams run even splits from gun to tape. Find your colour in the corral, hand your doubts to the balloon. Tap a row to see it as your race.

Five corrals released twelve minutes apart. Your wave letter is printed on your bib; the band colour matches your corral gate on Arden Quay.
Corrals close ten minutes before their gun. Miss your wave and you start from E — the chip forgives, the seeding does not.
78 mm of die-struck brass. The Arden runs across the face, three bridge ticks mark your crossings, and the ring of text turns — slowly, like you at KM 38.
Cross the line, walk twenty metres, hand your medal over. Name and finish time cut into the rim in under a minute, free, while a volunteer holds your banana.
Look closely at the weave: the blue thread traces the Arden, the orange one traces your route — they cross exactly three times.
